THE GLOW BOOTH
PRE & POST CARE
We all want that beautiful, healthy glow and a custom spray tan is the best way to get it.
While spray tans can leave your skin looking and feeling amazing, there are a few spray tan tips to help you make the most out of your tan. Making the most of your spray tan means taking time to prepare before your session and being mindful of spray tan care in the days following.
Before your appointment

-
Take a shower at least 3 hours before the appointment, ideally more than 12 hours.
-
Shaving, waxing and exfoliation must be done at least 24 hours before the appointment. It is important to allow amino acids to replenish because DHA needs amino acids to grow. Likewise, the pores must be given time to close before application, otherwise it can leave dark spots.
-
The fresh skin cells will form a smooth base that your spray tan will stick to. The fresher the skin cells, the longer the life of the tan. A good scrub (oil free) and an exfoliating mitt will allow the elimination of all the dead skin cells and impurities on the body. Pay attention to rough areas like the top of the feet, heels, ankles, elbows, knees, knuckles, etc. Exfoliation is a crucial step to do!
-
Do not use lotions, creams, gels, waxes, shaving creams or other oil-based products as they may leave residue on the skin and prevent the solution from developing properly.
-
Do not wear makeup, cream, sunscreen, perfume or deodorant on the day of the appointment.
-
Moisturize the skin a few days before the session (not the day of the appointment).
-
Wear loose, dark colored clothing after application.
-
Manicures, pedicures, facials, and massages should be done days before the appointment.

IN SUMMARY, THE SKIN SHOULD BE PERFECTLY CLEAN, BARE, DRY, AND EXFOLIATED PRIOR TO THE SESSION.
